Uzbekistan introduces changes to customs registration process

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Joint resolution of the State Customs Committee, Uzbekistan Temir Yollari, Ministry of Finance and Central Bank of Uzbekistan introduced changes to order of customs control and registration of hand baggage, luggage, currency and currency valuables of passengers, using railway transport.

Introduced changes envisage that customs registration of passengers, their hand baggage, luggage, currency and currency valuables will be conducted only at customs control zone.

Within the customs control, the passengers and train crew, their luggage will be inspected with special equipment. Customs officers can implement simplified forms of customs control.

The document also abolished opportunity of customs registration during travel time.
