Uzbekistan introduces ban for unmanned aerial vehicles
The Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On measures on preventing unsanctioned use of unmanned aerial vehicles in air space of Uzbekistan” on 26 November 2014.
The document was adopted to ensure flight safety and prevent unsanctioned use of air space of Uzbekistan by unmanned aerial vehicles.
The resolution said that a ban introduced to import, sales and use of unmanned aerial vehicles (code of Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System 8802 20 000 0 (airplanes and other aerial vehicles with weight of empty equipments for over 2000 kg).
State Customs Committee, State Tax Committee, State border protection committee under the National Security Service and Ministry of Interior Affairs were entrusted to adopt necessary measures to reveal and prevent facts of illegal import, sales and use of unpiloted aerial vehicles and punish the violators.
