Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) –– The President’s resolution “On measures to radically improve the quality of construction and installation works and improve the control system in construction” was adopted.

In accordance with the resolution, starting from 1 April 2020, an improved procedure for state construction control of construction, reconstruction and overhaul facilities is being introduced based on risk categories and the functional purpose of the facilities.

Also, a draft government decision will be developed to approve the Administrative Regulation for the implementation of state construction control of facilities.

The Resolution of the Inspectorate for Control in the Field of Construction and Territorial Inspections granted a number of rights in the framework of state construction control.

In particular, inspections have the right to suspend construction and installation work and demand the dismantling of work in cases of structural violations that affect the seismic resistance of buildings and structures, as well as endangering human life and health.

Also, the following requirements and procedures are canceled:

- from 1 March 2020, requirements for the implementation of state construction control of capital repair facilities, with the exception of facilities financed from the budget of the budget system;

- the existing procedures for the commissioning of completed construction projects with the introduction of the procedure for issuing permits for their operation by the Inspectorate and territorial inspections (phased in time).
