Uzbekistan Increases Oil and Gas Exports Despite Falling Output
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan increased its exports of natural gas and oil products in the first 10 months of 2025 despite a continued decline in domestic gas production, according to the National Statistics Committee.
The country exported US$568.2 million worth of natural gas from January to October, up 5.1% from the same period in 2024. Exports of oil and oil products rose 7.7% to US$541.3 million.
Gas imports fell to US$1.12 billion, a decline of 16% from a year earlier. Imports of oil and oil products totaled US$1.63 billion, down 1.7%. Motor gasoline imports increased 5.8% to US$1.28 billion.
Meanwhile, domestic natural gas output continued to shrink. Production reached 35.5 billion cubic meters in the January–October period, down 4.8% from 37.3 billion cubic meters a year earlier.
