Uzbekistan Increases Banana Imports to 161,000 Tonnes in January–November 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan imported 161.4 thousand tonnes of bananas worth US$54.3 million in January–November 2025, according to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee.
Compared to the same period in 2024, import volumes increased by 10.8 thousand tonnes, reflecting steady growth in domestic demand for imported fruit.
Ecuador remains the largest supplier of bananas to the Uzbek market, accounting for 145.9 thousand tonnes, or more than 90 percent of total imports. China ranked second with supplies totaling 13.9 thousand tonnes.
Significantly smaller volumes were imported from Kazakhstan (565.8 tonnes), Türkiye (384.9 tonnes), and the Kyrgyz Republic (337.3 tonnes). Combined deliveries from other countries amounted to 324.6 tonnes.
