Uzbekistan improves order on beer sales in internal market

Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance, State Tax Committee and Central Bank of Uzbekistan issued a joint resolution, which introduced changes and amendments to temporary regulation on system of accounting production and realization of separate excise goods.

According to amendments, realization of beer in Uzbekistan can be conducted by producers and their distributors (legal entities), which have permissions to realize alcohol products and stationary sales points. The sales points should be equipped with cash machines and POS-terminals.

The document said that the producers can carry out wholesale realization of alcohol products, except beer, through territorial specialized wholesale trade bases of Uzvinprom-holding.

The regulation on sales of alcohol and tobacco products, as well as edible oil in internal markets now comply with rules of retail trade in Uzbekistan.

In line with the changes to regulation, legal entities, engaged in realization of excise goods should have cash machines and POS-terminals at trade points.
