Uzbekistan Improves Its Position in the 2025 Global Gender Equality Ranking

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan continues to strengthen its position in global gender equality rankings.

According to the Global Gender Gap Report 2025, the world average for gender equality stands at 68.8%.

Uzbekistan ranked 110th out of 148 countries with a score of 0.678. The country demonstrated the strongest results in education (0.998), health (0.955), and political rights (0.202).

The nation improved its political rights score, rising from 89th to 82nd place, entering for the first time the group of countries with a score above 20%, reflecting positive developments in the political sphere.

The top countries in the global ranking remain Iceland, Finland, Norway, the United Kingdom, and New Zealand, highlighting significant progress in advancing gender equality worldwide.
