Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 21 November 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution aimed at improving the procedure for issuing “IT visas” to foreign specialists and startup participants.
The decision was made within the framework of the “Uzbekistan – 2030” strategy to boost IT services exports and attract international experts.
According to the resolution, the “IT visa” is granted to: foreign founders and participants of startup projects; specialists and academic staff holding scientific degrees such as Candidate of Sciences, PhD, or DSc in information technology from leading foreign universities; and individuals serving as the sole executive officer or chair of a collegiate executive body of a legal entity resident in an IT park, as well as their deputies.
In addition, as part of preparing highly qualified international-level specialists, targeted loans are provided to support the IT sector and increase its export potential.
These measures are designed to strengthen Uzbekistan’s position as a center for technological innovation and attract foreign talent to develop the domestic IT sector.
