Uzbekistan Implements the “Farma.xarid.uz” Module for State Procurement of Medicines

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 21 November 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution titled “On Measures for the Further Improvement of Mechanisms for State Procurement of Pharmaceutical Products.”

The document provides for the creation of a specialized module, “Farma.xarid.uz,” within the electronic system of the state procurement operator. With its implementation, government purchasers will be required to conduct all procurements of medicines and medical equipment exclusively through this module.

From 1 March 2026, procurement via the module will be carried out by registered state purchasers in the Andijan and Namangan regions, and from 1 July, it will be extended to all state purchasers across the country.

Participation in procurement will be allowed only for pharmaceutical products and medical equipment from manufacturers that have completed mandatory registration: medicine manufacturers with a GMP certificate, medical device manufacturers with an ISO:13485 certificate, and wholesale distributors of medicines with a GDP certificate.

Starting from 1 January 2026, the portal “Pharma.gov.uz” will feature a registry of all pharmaceutical products, indicating procurement volumes based on the national product classifier, ensuring transparency and efficiency in the state procurement system.
