Uzbekistan Implements Electronic Document Management for Forensic Examinations via the “E-ekspertiza” Platform
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of Uzbekistan has approved regulations for organizing electronic document management through the “E-ekspertiza” platform in the conduct of forensic examinations.
The corresponding resolution defines the main stages of working with documents through electronic information systems: appointment of the examination, submission of case materials, receipt of requests and conducting studies, as well as preparation and submission of expert conclusions.
Documents not submitted through the “E-ekspertiza” platform cannot serve as a basis for conducting a forensic examination.
The platform also provides the possibility of returning documents to the appointing authority and making electronic payments for case materials that require payment under a contract.
Expert bodies are granted the ability to monitor the progress of examinations online.
Full integration of “E-ekspertiza” with the information systems of authorities that appoint examinations is stipulated by the Presidential resolution of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ–270 dated 8 September 2025, ensuring mutual electronic information exchange between agencies and forensic institutions.
Implementation of this resolution will significantly reduce the time required for examinations, decrease paper-based document flow, postal costs, and bureaucratic procedures, and promote broader use of information and communication technologies in forensic work.
The document also introduces amendments and additions to several previous government decisions aimed at digitalizing processes and increasing the efficiency of forensic experts.
