Uzbekistan implements 1,950 localization projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Faction of UzLiDeP at the Legislative Chamber at Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the Committee on industry, construction and trade of the lower house of the Uzbek parliament organized a roundtable “State of localization of production of ready products, spare parts and materials”.

The event was attended by the representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers, ministries, departments, committees and organizations, as well as experts and scholars.

It was noted that Uzbekistan implemented 1,948 projects of localization within the localization programme for 2010-2019, which helped to produce import-replacing products for US$7.6 billion.

In the result, the production of localized products in Uzbekistan rose by 3 times. This helped to create over 13,000 new jobs.

During the event, the participants considered improving implementation of the localization projects in Uzbekistan and eliminating existing problems.
