Uzbekistan Hosts 17,595 Enterprises with Foreign Capital
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 November 2025, Uzbekistan is home to 17,595 enterprises with foreign capital participation, according to the National Statistical Committee.
Of these, 4,204 are joint ventures, while 13,391 are fully foreign-owned. Over the past five years, the number of such enterprises has increased 1.9 times.
China leads in terms of foreign investment with 4,731 enterprises, followed by Russia (3,177), Turkey (2,090), Kazakhstan (1,185), South Korea (683), Afghanistan (636), the UAE (396), Tajikistan (379), India (356), and the United States (328).
By sector, the distribution of enterprises is as follows: trade — 6,286; industry — 3,647; construction — 1,358; information and communications — 1,354; accommodation and food services — 725; transport and storage — 572; agriculture, forestry, and fisheries — 437; healthcare and social services — 206; and other activities — 3,010.
