Uzbekistan holds 76th place in Doing Business 2019 report

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan held the 76th place in the new ranking of “Doing Business 2019” of the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

According to the Doing Business 2019 report, published on 31 October 2018, Uzbekistan ranked 76th among 190 countries. The indicator of the ease of introducing a business in the country was 67.4 (66.32 in last year).

According to the report, Uzbekistan during the year carried out three reforms to protect the rights of minority investors, taxes and international trade. Uzbekistan has improved its position in almost all indicators.

Uzbekistan ranked 12th among the countries of the world in terms of “Registration of Enterprises”, 35th place in “Connecting to the power supply system” and 41st in terms of “Enforcement of contracts”.

In terms of “Obtaining construction permits”, Uzbekistan ranked 134^th place, “Registration of property” - 71st place, “Obtaining loans” - 60th place, “Protection of minority investors” - 64th place, “Taxation” - 64th place, “International trade” – 165th place and "Insolvency Resolution" – 91st place.
