The airline said that this is the first airplane, which was converted to freighter, within the project on re-equipping to passenger airplanes Boeing 767-300ER to freighters Boeing 767-300BCF.
Uzbekistan Havo Yollari said that it is more profitable to use old passenger planes as freighters. This will ensure safety of flights.
The project is implemented at support and financial help of the Government of Uzbekistan. It is aimed at creating a fleet of freight airplanes to develop an international intermodal center of logistics at Navoi airport and increase cargo transportation.
The airplane was converted to freighter by Boring at its airplane repair company in Singapore, Sasko. The plane was received by the Uzbek airline after necessaryinspections.
Uzbekistan Havo Yollari said that it will receive the second plane in December 2014.
