Cabinet of Ministers issued a resolution “On measures on further developing civil aviation, improving financial state and strengthening material-technical base of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari”.
The document was adopted to create conditions for using and introducing new aviation equipment, ensuring high level of flights security, reconstructing land infrastructure of civil aviation, improving competitiveness in external markets, strengthening material-technical base of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari.
The document said that Uzbekistan Havo Yollari implemented several investment projects directed at unifying and updating its fleet, modernizing of land infrastructure of civil aviation.
Currently, the airline implements projects on purchasing of two Boeing 787-800 airplanes, reconstruction of airports in Urgench, Ferghana and Namangan, purchase of special equipment and tools for land infrastructure.
The resolution said that Uzbekistan Havo Yollari is not paying customs payments (except registration fees) within contracts on technical maintenance of airplanes on pool system.
The Government exempted the airline from customs payments (except registration fees) for equipment, materials, spare parts and components, tools, which are not produced in Uzbekistan and imported by Uzbekistan Havo Yollari, till 1 January 2020.
The Government entrusted State Tax Committee and State Customs Committee to ensure control over targeted use of imported equipment, materials, spare parts, components and tools by Uzbekistan Havo Yollari.
In case of untargeted use of imported products, Uzbekistan Havo Yollari will pay fines to the State Budget of Uzbekistan in line with the legislation, the document added.
