Uzbekistan Has Over 38,000 Preschool Institutions in 2024

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — By the end of 2024, Uzbekistan had a total of 38,058 preschool institutions, of which 28,729 are family-run private kindergartens.

According to the National Statistics Committee, this represents an increase of 2,085 institutions compared to 2023.

The highest number of preschools is registered in Samarkand Region with 4,507, followed by Andijan Region with 4,324, Kashkadarya Region with 4,216, and Ferghana Region with 4,189. Namangan Region has 3,962 kindergartens, Surkhandarya Region 3,077, Tashkent Region 2,340, Bukhara Region 2,153, and Khorezm Region 2,049.

Jizzakh Region counts 1,709 institutions, the Republic of Karakalpakstan 1,874, Navoi Region 1,466, Syrdarya Region 1,145, while the capital city of Tashkent has 1,047 preschool institutions.
