Uzbekistan Has 22,100 Artisans

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 October 2025, Uzbekistan has 22,100 artisans working across various regions of the country, according to the National Statistical Committee.

The largest concentration of artisans is in the capital, Tashkent, where 2,964 people are employed. Following are the Fergana Region with 2,743 artisans and the Samarkand Region with 2,179.

In the Andijan and Namangan regions, there are 2,058 and 2,024 artisans respectively. Khorezm Region has 1,982, while Tashkent Region employs 1,731 artisans.

Bukhara and Kashkadarya regions have 1,434 and 1,427 artisans respectively, Karakalpakstan — 981, Jizzakh Region — 923, Surkhandarya — 786, Syrdarya — 449, and Navoi Region — 419 artisans.
