“Uzbekistan GTL” Plant Reaches Full Capacity Four Years After Launch

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  “Uzbekistan GTL” LLC, a strategically important natural gas processing enterprise commissioned in 2021, has only reached full production capacity by 2025.

Despite the plant’s high potential to produce value-added products that are four to five times more profitable than traditional products, its operations were long hindered by technological issues and emergency shutdowns.

At a meeting chaired by the Board Chairman of JSC “Uzbekneftegaz” with management of its divisions and plants, the current state of the enterprise, financial performance, existing problems, and priority tasks for the coming year were discussed.

Special attention was given to systemic deficiencies that had persisted for several years, significantly constraining the plant’s development and negatively impacting its financial stability.

Management was tasked with conducting a thorough analysis of unplanned emergency shutdowns, assessing technological risks, and developing a program of strict measures to eliminate them.

Additional goals include increasing production volumes by 15–20% in 2026, ensuring alternative gas supplies without affecting domestic consumers, expanding domestic diesel fuel sales, and creating conditions for refueling international airlines in Uzbekistan.

It was also emphasized that decisions regarding outsourcing must be made with economic efficiency in mind, without compromising employees’ social guarantees.

The overarching objective is to transform “Uzbekistan GTL” into an efficient enterprise focused on the domestic market and operating in the state’s interests.
