Uzbekistan, Finland Discuss Joint DATA4CRM Geological Project

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 18 March 2026, representatives from the Ministry of Mining and Geology of Uzbekistan, the University of Geological Sciences, and the state institution Institute of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology held an online meeting with colleagues from the Geological Survey of Finland.

The main topic of discussion was the DATA4CRM project for 2026–2029, financed by the European Union.

The initiative includes joint efforts to digitize geological data, conduct geophysical studies, model groundwater resources, commercialize scientific developments, and train qualified specialists for the geological sector.

Both sides highlighted the importance of strengthening international cooperation in geology and engineering hydrogeology, which will improve research quality and enable the implementation of modern technologies in Uzbekistan’s mining industry.
