Uzbekistan Farmers’ Council determines perspective tasks

Council of Farmers of Uzbekistan held a seminar “With a sense of belonging to the prosperity of the motherland”, dedicated to a broad explanation to the farmers essence and meaning of the speech of the President Islam Karimov at the festive ceremony dedicated to the 23 anniversary Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The event discussed actual tasks of the Council of Farmers of Uzbekistan based on the speech of the President. It was attended by officials of the Council of Farmers of Uzbekistan, heads of regional and district councils, MPs of the Legislative Chamber, farmers and others.
During the event, it was noted that Uzbekistan’s economy grows six times during independence years and income per capita rose by over 9 times. In last 11 years, including in 2015, the GDP growth will be at the level of 8%. About US$67 billion were invested into economy in last five years, of which 21% were foreign investments.
It was underlined that it is necessary to analyze the speech of the Uzbek President and determine the tasks of the Council for perspective.
The participants noted that one of key tasks is to increase the volume of production of agriculture products, ensure employment of population, including graduates of colleges, attract youth to business and farming.
