Uzbekistan eyes deeper partnership with Rothschild & Co
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 30 March, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov held talks with a delegation from Rothschild & Co led by Baroness Arielle Malard de Rothschild. The sides reviewed ongoing cooperation and explored opportunities to expand partnership across key sectors of the national economy.
Particular attention was given to the privatization of state assets and the organization of initial public offerings. The discussions focused on mechanisms to enable major Uzbek enterprises to access international capital markets, a move expected to strengthen the country’s integration into the global financial system.
As part of the dialogue, the parties proposed organizing training seminars for local businesses on corporate governance and investment attraction. The initiative aims to help domestic companies align with international standards and meet investor expectations.
The sides also considered measures to promote Uzbekistan’s investment image abroad. Plans include the development of joint roadmaps and the organization of targeted events to deepen engagement with global financial institutions.
