Uzbekistan expresses condolences to Romania

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan paid a visit to the Embassy of Romania in Tashkent on 3 November.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the records were made in the Book of Condolences on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan in connection with announcement of three-day mourning in memory of people, who died in the result of fire in Bucharest on 30 October.

During night to 31 October, fire broke out at the Colectiv club in Bucharest, which was hosting a free rock concert by the band Goodbye to Gravity. Up to 400 people are thought to have been inside.

Survivors say the fireworks caused the ceiling and a pillar to catch fire and produce heavy smoke. The stampede occurred at the exit of the club and some people could not leave the club. In the result of the accident, at least 31 people died. Some 136 people are in hospitals, about 89 people are in critical conditions.
