Uzbekistan exported 95,100 tonnes of fruits and vegetables, which also includes horticulture, produced in previous year.
According to the Uzbek Economy Ministry, Uzbekistan decreased soil, allocated to production of cotton, by 30,500 hectare. About 172,600 hectares were allocated to production of vegetables, 86,300 hectares – to potatoes and 26,300 hectares – melons.
The country created 5,200 hectares of new intensive gardens, reconstructed 5,700 hectares of gardens and 3,200 tonnes of vineyards. About 4,262 greenhouses were created at 163 hectares.
Uzbekistan created 16 new cold store cameras for storage of fruits and vegetables with the capacity of 105,500 tonnes.
About 664 projects on developing cattle, poultry, fishing and bee-keeping farms were implemented in the country.
In the result, total number of cattle reached 11.5 million heads (+5.8%). The country produced 425,800 tonnes of meat (+6.1%), 12,700 tonnes of fish (+10%), 1.595 million tonnes of milk (+6.4%), 1.18 billion units of eggs (+6.7%) and others.
