Uzbekistan Explores Trade Expansion with Suffolk Chamber

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the IFE London 2026 international food and beverage exhibition, Davron Vakhabov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, met with Koyas Mia, Head of the International Relations Department at the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce.

The Suffolk Chamber represents over 1,300 companies and is part of the UK network of chambers of commerce, which encompasses more than 50,000 businesses. It plays a key role in fostering international cooperation and supporting companies entering global markets.

During the discussions, both sides explored ways to expand collaboration between Uzbek and UK entrepreneurs, enhance export potential, and strengthen direct business connections. They also reviewed tools for promoting Uzbek companies in the UK market, streamlining export documentation, and organizing B2B meetings.

A memorandum of understanding signed in 2023 between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Suffolk Chamber provides the foundation for continued bilateral cooperation.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to advance practical collaboration, implement new joint initiatives, and support Uzbek businesses seeking entry into the UK market.
