Uzbekistan Explores Local Production of Displays and TVs in Partnership with HKC

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A joint meeting was held in Tashkent with the participation of Frank Bai, Assistant to the President of the major Chinese display technology manufacturer HKC, Mirziyod Yunusov, Chairman of the “UzElTechSanoat” Association, and the management of Artel.

Founded in 2001, HKC specializes in semiconductor display technologies. The company ranks third globally in display production and operates more than 45 offices worldwide.

In addition, HKC carries out large-scale projects in the fields of energy production, rare-earth metal processing, and high-tech manufacturing. Its production facilities are capable of producing over 100,000 tons of ultra-thin copper foil.

During the meeting, participants discussed joint production of televisions and displays in Uzbekistan with HKC, as well as plans to increase export shipments to Europe and other developed markets.
