Uzbekistan explores coal project development in Angren with China Coal participation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjayev led an assessment of the current status of investment projects underway in the city of Angren in Tashkent region.

During the visit, the delegation reviewed progress at the Nishbosh coal deposit, where construction and development works are being carried out by Nishbosh ko‘mir LLC. Existing challenges were discussed on site, along with proposed mechanisms for resolving them.

Talks also included proposals from China Coal Resources Development Group to cooperate on increasing coal production capacity at deposits operated by Uzbekugol JSC and on implementing coal chemistry projects. These initiatives aim to improve industrial output and expand coal-related processing in the region.

The measures under consideration are expected to enhance the efficiency of the coal sector and stimulate the development of related industries in Angren and the wider region.
