Uzbekistan Explores China’s Innovations in Construction
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, led by Deputy Minister Davronjon Adilov, is on a working visit to the People’s Republic of China to study innovations in the construction sector.
During the visit, ministry representatives met with staff from China CHoal Industry Engineering Chongqing Design Research Institute (Group) Co., Ltd., one of China’s largest integrated engineering and design organizations. Founded in 1953, the institute has evolved over 70 years from a specialized research entity into a modern, digitized engineering organization employing over 1,800 specialists. It holds more than 50 top-level licenses in architecture, utilities, energy, and environmental management and cooperates on projects across more than 30 Chinese regions and over 20 countries worldwide.
The discussions focused on construction digitalization, the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies, green energy applications, environmental sustainability, and comprehensive engineering services.
The institute showcased modern practices through the “Jingshuang District Hospital of Chongqing Shapingba District People’s Hospital” project. From the outset, BIM technologies were applied, including three-dimensional modeling across disciplines, engineering system coordination, and early identification of potential conflicts. Smart building automation systems and digital management of medical infrastructure were also implemented during construction.
Participants emphasized that China’s experience is highly valuable for introducing innovative technologies into Uzbekistan’s construction sector and improving the efficiency of design and construction processes.
