Uzbekistan expects GDP growth at 5.4% in 2019

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan expects economic growth in 2019 to reach 5.4% and the country’s GDP will exceed 424.1 trillion soums, according to the Ministry of Finance.

In 2020, Uzbekistan’s GDP is projected to be 524.1 trillion soums, which is 6% higher compared to 2019.

The government expects Uzbekistan’s GDP will grow by 7% in 2021 - to 637.9 trillion soums.

In 2018, Uzbekistan’s GDP growth will be at 5.2%. The country’s GDP this year is expected to reach 326.9 trillion soums.

According to forecasts, the volume of industrial production in Uzbekistan will grow by 4.9% in 2019, 6.2% in 2020 and 7.2% in 2021.

The inflation rate will be 15.5% in 2019 and will drop to 12.6% in 2020 and 9.9% in 2021.
