Uzbekistan Expands Pharmaceutical Sector with Chinese Investment

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 24 March, Abdulla Azizov, Director of Uzbekistan’s Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, met with the director of the Chinese company Triumph Junheng to discuss investment prospects and the development of the country’s pharmaceutical sector.

During the talks, officials presented current measures to accelerate industry growth, create a favorable investment climate, and establish conditions for foreign investors.

Special attention was given to projects within the innovative scientific and production pharmaceutical cluster “Tashkent Pharma Park” (Bio Pharma City), including the organization of manufacturing facilities and the development of research and educational infrastructure.

The discussions also covered tax and customs incentives for foreign investors, simplification of administrative procedures, and institutional support mechanisms provided by the government.

The Chinese delegation praised Uzbekistan’s systematic approach and achievements in the pharmaceutical sector, noting the country as a promising location for production and product localization.
