Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At a session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, deputies reviewed in the first reading a draft law “On Amendments to Article 431 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan ‘On the Enforcement of Judicial Acts and Acts of Other Bodies’,” aimed at further improving the simplified procedure for enforcement proceedings.

As is known, under simplified enforcement proceedings, recovery is carried out without levying execution on the debtor’s property (except for monetary assets) and without applying administrative liability measures against the debtor.

The proposed draft law seeks to expand the list of enforcement documents subject to compulsory execution under the simplified procedure. Specifically, it introduces the possibility of simplified enforcement for the following types of debt:

— expenses for video conferencing services;

— debts for utilities and communication services;

— mandatory fees and payments by apartment owners in multi-unit residential buildings;

— debt amounts not exceeding five times the base calculation amount (BCA).

The implementation of this draft law is intended to enhance the efficiency of debt recovery processes, reduce the administrative burden, eliminate the need for visits to debtors for minor obligations, and prevent the application of restrictive measures against them.

The draft law was approved by deputies in the first reading.
