Uzbekistan Expands Industrial Partnerships with Turkish Regions

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Delegations from Uzbekistan, including representatives from the associations Uztextilprom and Uzcharmsanoat and industrial zones from Bukhara, Namangan, Kokand, and Kasan, visited several Turkish cities with the support of Uzbek diplomatic missions, the Dunyо news agency reports.

The working groups traveled to Istanbul, Bursa, Izmir, Konya, Denizli, Aydın, Kahramanmaraş, and Gaziantep, conducting B2B meetings with over 85 potential partners in the textile and leather-footwear sectors and familiarizing themselves with the production processes of Turkish companies.

During meetings with city mayors and governors of Denizli and Aydın provinces, the delegations discussed prospects for cooperation in Uzbekistan’s light industry, particularly in textiles and footwear. Topics included the creation of joint ventures with Turkish companies and the expansion of bilateral trade.

Presentations showcasing the industrial potential of Uzbek regions specializing in textiles and leather-footwear were organized for Turkish companies with the support of local chambers of commerce. Discussions covered sourcing mechanisms, the establishment of joint marketing offices, and relocation of production capacities to Uzbekistan.

Special attention was given to partnerships with brands DeFacto and Bebetto, which expressed interest in entering the Uzbek market and collaborating with local manufacturers. Agreements were reached to utilize unused facilities and revive idle enterprises in the textile and leather-footwear industries.

The parties also agreed on business mission visits by Turkish companies to Uzbekistan and on concrete cooperation conditions for the upcoming exhibitions: Uzbek Import Fair 2025, Heimtextil Uzbekistan 2025, and UzCharmExpo 2025, scheduled for October.

Uzbekistan’s delegation established contacts with several Istanbul marketing firms and developed a plan to promote Uzbek products in Turkey, enhance brand recognition, and expand distribution channels.

Additionally, agreements were made to organize leather product exports to Uzbekistan with the support of the Turkish Association of Footwear Manufacturers (TASD).
