Uzbekistan, EU discuss cooperation in energy sector

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Benelux countries Dilyor Khakimov met with the Secretary General of the Energy Charter Secretariat Urban Rusnák, in Brussels.

The Energy Charter Secretariat regulates issues of international cooperation in energy sector, including investment, transit and energy efficiency.

At the meeting, issues of cooperation were discussed, in particular, prospects for cooperation in modernization of the Energy Charter Treaty were discussed, and a schedule of the upcoming meetings under the auspices of the Energy Charter was considered.

Following the talks, the Uzbek side was invited to a conference on the Energy Charter, which will be held in Tirana, Albania, on 10 December 2019.
