Uzbekistan Establishes First Microfinance Bank
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has officially licensed Tayyab Finance Mikromoliya Tashkiloti Joint Stock Company to operate as a microfinance bank.
Following this, the organization changed its status and received a new name: TAYANCH Microfinance Bank. Relevant updates are already being made in the official registries.
In February 2025, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a law introducing amendments to legislation aimed at developing the microfinance sector and integrating it into the banking system.
The law strengthens ties between microfinance institutions and commercial banks and expands opportunities to attract financial resources, including deposits.
The new institution now has the right to provide banking services under the conditions established by law, opening additional avenues for growth and enhancing the financial resilience of the sector.
