Uzbekistan, Ernst & Young discuss sale of state stakes in banks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Director of the State Assets Management Agency of Uzbekistan Ahadbek Haydarov and representatives of Ernst & Young held a meeting in Tashkent.

After the greeting, the Director of the Agency noted that a lot of work is ahead in preparing for the realization of enterprises in the energy, oil and gas and chemical sectors of the Uzbek economy, as well as such banks as Turonbank, Asia Alliance Bank, Uzpromstroybank, Alokabank.

Representatives of Ernst & Young expressed their willingness to assist in the process of presale preparation of state assets, informed about the services they offer.

An extended meeting of the Agency Director was also held with representatives of “Ernst & Young”, EBRDand senior employees of “Aloqabank”. At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further cooperation to accelerate the sale of state assets and attract investors.
