Uzbekistan draws Kiwis for Davis Cup opener
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan have drawn New Zealand in the first round of the Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Group One tennis tie for the second consecutive year.
The tie will be held in New Zealand on 10-12 February 2012. Tennis New Zealand must decide on a venue for the tie by December.
Uzbekistan played against New Zealand in March 2011. Uzbekistan won the tie 3-2 in Namangan, Uzbekistan.
The winning team will face top seeds India in April, with the Indians having a first round bye.
