Uzbekistan Discusses Sustainable Aviation Fuel Prospects with IATA

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of JSC Uzbekneftegaz held talks with a delegation from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) for Central Asia, led by manager Rizwan Siddiq.

During the meeting, the guests were provided with detailed information about the types of aviation fuel produced at the Bukhara Oil Refinery, including Jet A-1, semi-synthetic Jet A-1 SSF, and GTL kerosene.

The parties discussed prospects for the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), strategic plans for industry development, and opportunities to expand cooperation with IATA. Particular attention was given to measures for reducing CO₂ emissions, as well as interaction within the framework of the International Civil Aviation Organization’s CORSIA program.

IATA representatives invited Uzbekneftegaz to showcase the sector’s achievements at international events, opening new opportunities to strengthen Uzbekistan’s position in the global aviation industry.
