Uzbekistan Discusses Promising Mining Projects with China Coal Resource Development

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 5 February 2026, Rustam Yusupov, Deputy Minister of the Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with senior ministry officials, held a video conference with representatives of China Coal Resource Development.

During the meeting, the foreign side expressed interest in implementing joint promising projects, including the modernization of existing production capacities and the expansion of extraction volumes.

The parties agreed to develop concrete project proposals and feasibility studies for these initiatives, as well as to continue discussions on the terms of cooperation.
