Uzbekistan Discusses Joint Initiatives on German Language Teaching and Vocational Education
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 7 November, Kongirotboy Sharipov, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of Uzbekistan, met with Anna Bernsmeier, Director of the Goethe-Institut, and Tanja Olbrich, Head of the Eastern and Central Asia Department.
The meeting focused on teaching the German language in Uzbekistan, improving teacher qualifications, and providing educational institutions with textbooks and technical resources. Participants also reviewed the outcomes of internships conducted in Germany in cooperation with vocational schools in tourism and hospitality.
Minister Sharipov highlighted the growing interest in learning German in Uzbekistan and announced plans to implement new educational programs and teacher training projects in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to further expand cooperation and implement joint initiatives in German language teaching and vocational education in Uzbekistan.
