Uzbekistan Discusses Expansion of HAVAL Vehicle Production

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 30 October, a working meeting was held at the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan between Deputy Minister Ilzat Kasymov, Vice President of the Chinese company Great Wall Motor, Shi Qinke, and the management of ADM Jizzakh.

Founded in 1984 in Baoding, Hebei Province, Great Wall Motor is one of China’s largest private automobile manufacturers. In 2023, ADM Jizzakh signed an agreement with GWM to produce HAVAL brand vehicles. The plant currently assembles models including Jolion, M6, Dargo, H6, H9, and Wingle.

The meeting focused on implementing joint projects in the automotive sector and further expanding the localization of vehicle production in Uzbekistan. Particular attention was given to the development of auto component exports, strengthening research and development capabilities, and training skilled personnel for the industry.

The discussion also highlighted a significant milestone for the enterprise — the production of 10,000 HAVAL vehicles — marking an important achievement in the development of Uzbekistan’s domestic automotive industry and reinforcing the country’s position as a regional automotive hub.
