Uzbekistan directs 300bn soums to construction and reconstruction of school

About 300 billion soums of capital investments were used in nine months of 2014 to construct and reconstruct 210 general schools (including specialized schools) for 59,200 children and capital repair of 159 schools, the Ministry of Economy and State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
Part of these funds was directed to equipping schools with furniture, computer classes, laboratory equipment and other supplies.
At the same time, 218.2 billion soums were directed he construction, reconstruction and overhaul of 37 music schools and 89 children’s sports facilities (including 73 gyms at secondary schools).
