Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The 23rd annual charity fair “International Woman’s Club Riga Charity Bazaar”, organized by the International Women’s Club of the capital of Latvia, was held in Riga, Dunyo reports.

The club, created in 1996, brings together well-known women of the country and aims to raise funds for material support of vulnerable segments of the population. The fair is the largest annual international event, which is attended by about 3 thousand people.

At the fair, national stands of the diplomatic corps, state and public structures, and charitable organizations were presented.

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Latvia has launched an exposition consisting of vivid examples of folk art, crafts, and national cuisine. The visitors were shown the products of Uzbek craftsmen, a variety of world-famous national fabrics and clothes made from them, products of the famous Rishtan school of ceramics, and souvenirs with national colors.

Among the guests of the Uzbek diplomatic mission stand were former President of Latvia Raimonds Vejonis, wife of the current President of the country, Anita Levite, other government and public figures.

He was provided with information about the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the Uzbek people and the tourism potential of our country.
