Uzbekistan Demands Russian Authorities Investigate Attacks on Its Citizens in Vladivostok
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Vladivostok has sent official notes to Russian authorities regarding the assault and harassment of Uzbek citizens. This was reported by Consul General Yusup Kabuljanov.
Previously, Rasul Kusherbayev, advisor to the Minister of Ecology and former deputy of the Legislative Chamber, published three videos documenting attacks on people from Bukhara Region. In the third video, weapons are visible, the faces of the attackers can be seen, and the name of one of them is mentioned.
Kusherbayev noted that the victims had approached the Uzbek consulate in Vladivostok, but, according to him, they were initially advised to contact Russian law enforcement agencies.
Kabuljanov stated that upon receiving the information, consulate staff promptly reached out to the compatriots and provided them with the necessary legal support.
“Our citizens have filed an official report with the Vladivostok Police Department. Notes demanding that all necessary measures be taken regarding this incident have been sent to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Prosecutor’s Office of Primorsky Krai,” he emphasized.
