Uzbekistan Delegation Studies Iran’s Experience in Sericulture

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Uzbekistan, including representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the “O‘zbekipaksanoat” Association, is currently on a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

During the visit, the delegation members familiarized themselves with the operations of textile industry centers, production technologies, and the cluster system. At a meeting with Saman Nazar, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Gilan Province, B2B and B2G negotiations were held with participation from major regional companies.

As a result of the meetings, an agreement was reached on scientific and practical cooperation with the Iranian Sericulture Research Center. In addition, experienced Iranian technologists are expected to be involved in Uzbekistan to support the development of finished silk products.

The signed agreements aim to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, increase processing volumes, and produce competitive products.

The main objective of the visit is to study the experience of Iranian colleagues in producing finished silk goods and to establish effective collaboration in this sector.
