Uzbekistan delegation pays visit Iran

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21-24 October 2018, a delegation of Uzbekistan led by the Special Representative of the President for Afghanistan Ismatilla Irgashev visited Iran, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan said.

During the visit, the delegation got acquainted with transport-communication projects, implemented on the border with Afghanistan, especially, infrastructure of Khaf – Herat new railway line, as well as, Chabakhar seaport capabilities.

The Uzbek delegation held meetings and negotiations with leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Iran Railways Organization.

The sides discussed ways of contributing to solution of the Afghan problem, in particular, launching inter-Afghan peace negotiations, as well as prospects for cooperation in implementation of infrastructure projects in Afghanistan.
