Uzbekistan Delegation Discusses IT Cooperation Prospects with American Chamber of Commerce
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Uzbekistan visited the American Chamber of Commerce, where a roundtable was held under the leadership of the Chamber’s Vice President for Central Asia and the Middle East, Jennifer Mill.
The event was attended by representatives of leading global IT companies, including Google, Meta, Palo Alto Networks, Mastercard, Oracle, Salesforce, Citi, Supermicro, Nexttracker, Playground Global, 500 Global, Vertiv, Mayer Brown, FINN Partners, Synergy International Systems, Axiom Space, Docra, Freedom Holding, and ZELH.
During the discussions, the delegation presented information on the favorable conditions and tax incentives created in Uzbekistan for IT companies.
The parties also discussed measures to enhance the country’s investment attractiveness, the establishment of an advisory group under the Ministry of Digital Technologies involving American companies, and the development of the “Enterprise Uzbekistan” initiative.
Special attention was given to attracting global technology giants (“hyperscalers”) to Uzbekistan, which requires developing appropriate infrastructure, establishing a legal framework, and implementing international standards for personal data storage.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to develop “roadmaps” for cooperation in the areas of implementing artificial intelligence-based solutions and promoting national IT products in international markets.
The event concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Uzbekcosmos Agency and the American company Vast, aimed at developing cooperation in the space industry.
