Uzbekistan Delegation Departs for CIS Games
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The next edition of the CIS Games will take place in Azerbaijan from September 25 to October 9. Early this morning, Uzbekistan’s national team departed for the host country to take part in the competition.
The Games will be held across several cities, including Gabala, Ganja, Goygol, Mingachevir, Sheki, Khankendi, and Yevlakh.
The Uzbek delegation will compete in 23 sports, among them table tennis, clay pigeon shooting, badminton, football, shooting, swimming, volleyball, freestyle and women’s wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestling, 3x3 basketball, fencing, sambo, judo, taekwondo WT, rowing, canoe and kayak sprint, karate, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline, chovgan (a traditional equestrian game), archery, and boxing.
In total, 254 athletes will represent Uzbekistan at the Games.
