Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The “Uzbekistan Day” was held at the WSB Business Academy in Poland in the town of Dбbrowa Górnicza (Silesian region), within the framework of which a series of official and cultural events took place. The organizers of the event were the rector of the WSB Academy of Business and students from Uzbekistan, Dunyo reports.
The meeting was attended by the administration, faculty, Polish and foreign students, including from Uzbekistan, as well as residents of the city and our compatriots.
The purpose of the event was to familiarize students and employees of the Academy with the economic and tourist potential of Uzbekistan, the country’s transformations, its rich history, culture, traditions, national cuisine, as well as establishing cooperation in the educational field.
The participants were presented with information about the modern development of Uzbekistan, efforts to develop the tourism industry, youth policy and attention to compatriots abroad. Particularly noted are the progress in implementing reforms in Uzbekistan in the framework of the “Year of the Development of Science, Education and the Digital Economy”, increasing the effectiveness of democratization processes in the country and other aspects.
The participants were also informed about the development of Uzbek-Polish cooperation in the field of education, academic exchanges between universities and research institutes, centers of Uzbekistan and Poland.
At the event, an exposition of folk-applied art was launched, including national costumes, jewelry, ceramics, wood, traditional embroidery and much more.
During the event, negotiations were held with the administration of the WSB Business Academy, at which the parties exchanged views on further cooperation in the field of education, student and teacher exchanges.
Vice-Rector of WSB Business Academy Rafal Rebilas said that representatives of the Academy will take part in a trip of rectors of Polish universities to Tashkent in March this year to present the education system in Poland. According to him, the National Program of Uzbekistan, modern in its essence and content, the absolute literacy of the population, significant human and intellectual potential, and the educational system that meets modern international standards, ensure continuing education, constant deepening and updating of professional training.
- In universities, academic lyceums and vocational colleges, training is provided for hundreds of specialties in demand in the republic and Central Asia. The system of higher education in your country is being modernized, which allows you to adapt it to the needs of the national economy, which is increasingly in need of highly qualified specialists. We see that this is precisely what the country’s higher education system is aiming for today, said the vice-rector of the Academy.
During the event, participants were offered information materials, flyers, booklets and press releases about the potential of Uzbekistan.
It should be noted that the WSB Business Academy today successfully cooperates with the Tashkent State Agrarian University. Currently, more than 200 students from Uzbekistan are studying at this university in such areas as "International Relations", "Business" and "Management".
