Uzbekistan Crushes Timor-Leste in AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ 2026 Qualifier
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the Group F match of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Indonesia 2026 qualifiers held on Monday, the Uzbekistan national futsal team convincingly defeated Timor-Leste 7-1.
The scoring opened in the third minute with a precise strike from Mashrab Anilov, assisted by goalkeeper Abbosbek Ulmasbekov. Just a minute later, Khusniddin Nishonov doubled the lead by expertly finishing Anilov’s corner kick, and Eldor Nigmatov completed the first-half scoring with a goal from Muzaffar Akhadjonov’s cross, two minutes before halftime.
In the second half, the Uzbek team continued to attack. Shahzodjon Sadiev scored from the top of the arc in the 24th minute, followed by a fifth goal initiated by Abbosbek Ulmasbekov, which created an opportunity for Muzaffar Akhadjonov to score from close range. In the 35th minute, Akhadjonov completed his brace with a goal from the penalty area.
Timor-Leste managed to reduce the deficit with a strike from Mohammad Hamad two minutes later. The final goal was scored by Elbek Tulkinov, who finished a beautiful counterattack, sealing an emphatic 7-1 victory for Uzbekistan.
