Uzbekistan creates single parliamentary network
The report said that after successful implementation of two projects with the European Union at the Uzbek parliament in 2001-2003 and 2004-2006, new agreement on financing between Uzbekistan and EU was signed to implement a project “Further Strengthening of the Bi-Cameral Parliamentary System and Communications between the Parliament and the Regional Assemblies in Uzbekistan”. The new phase of project, designed for three years, was launched in summer 2012.
The beneficiary organizations of the project are Senate and Legislative Chamber of Uzbekistan, Jokargy Kenes of Karakalpakstan and all local Councils of People’s Deputies.
Soon, it is planned that all beneficiary organizations will be equipment modern office and other equipment.
In the first quarter of 2014, the network equipment will be delivered to create single parliamentary network, which will create opportunity to both chambers of Oliy Majlis and all local Councils of People’s Deputies work in single electronic field, the report said.
