Ministry of Economy and State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said that about 465,000 or 59.8% of total created jobs were created in rural areas. About 281,800 new jobs were created due to launch of new small enterprises and microfirms, 87,400 – development of individual entrepreneurship, 116,600 – development of farms and dehkan entities.
The growth of salaries in Uzbekistan made up 17.7%, average pensions – 15.7% and aggregate income of population by 18.7%.
It is planned to create 983,600 new jobs in Uzbekistan in 2014 within the programme on creation of jobs and ensuring employment of population.
